Description:

  • The beach is made of mainly small pebbles and rocks. 

  • The main nudist part of beach is not at beach entrance. Turn to the right after getting to beach and then walk 3-5 min down to get to it. If you reach a cabin you have gone too far. 

  • several small streams along beach line that comes from close by mountain. streams are not safe to drink. streams cause buildup on slime on rocks making slipping hazards. 

  • Boaters pass by very close on regular basis. 

  • Regular's at beach friendly  and accepting to new people. 

  • Nudist portion of beach is secluded and there is no dispute if it is a nude beach or not. 

  • Currently no disputes between textiles and nudists like other some other Okanagan beaches. 

  • Train tracks can be very dangerous to cross. Two sets of train tracks with trains passing on regular basis. 

  • Not recommended to climb over stopped trains because they can start up without warning. 

  • Trains on tracks may stop for up to 4 hours so be prepared to get stuck on beach for an extended period of time. 

Location: 
  • The Beach is located between Salmon Arm and Sicamous just off the trans Canada highway
  • Parking is on side of highway on pull out. There is limited parking.
  •  There is two pull outs close to each other, the main beach is on second pull out closer to Sicamous. 
  • After parking on side of highway proceed down path and cross two sets of train tracks. Be careful of oncoming trains and watch for railway police they have been known to give people fines. 
  • Go over railway tracks then follow along beach. Do not walk down railway tracks. Trains come frequently.
