Location: 
  • Located past downtown Kamloops on the river.
  • Drive west on mission flats road until you pass a large treatment plant on the left. Park is then on your right. 
  • Parking on side of road on Kamloops side and then parking lot on other side. 

Description:

  • Government park. 

  • Official off leash dog park so be aware of that. 

  • Many trails in and though the park with multiple places to set up by rivers edge. 

  • Sandy beach and when water is low large sand bars. 

  • Can be windy at beach. 

  • Water levels vary and beach may become less accessible in spring and early summer. 

  • Good mix of males and females at beach. 

  • Beach is not located on a lake but on side of river bank. Water can be fast flowing especially in spring so be very cautious.
